      During the day +15 and more, nights around +5. Unusually warm here right now for this time of the year. But once you get into the mountains, it is proper winter.

    Yes, we went there in 2008, the road was just asphalted a few weeks before and it was just paradise. Don’t miss St Stéphan church when you’ll be on the way to Astara.

    Uh, oh.. This is how its supposed to look like?! When we went there through heavy rain and fog, it was quite muddy and unpleasant, so we swimmed pass it as quickly as we could

      In our case this bit of the road was one of the most beautiful roads we have ever cycled. Soooo beautiful. Sorry that you did not get to enjoy this 🙂

    Amaizing! Reading your blog was one of the motivations I had so nowI am traveling around the world too, but I did the route,I cross baku-aktau through the caspian sea . Right now I am in Almaty and planing to go to Bishkek soon. If you are around almaty in the next couple of days I would love to have a beer with you guys, if you can. Best regards and all the best!!
