Good times in Ko Pha Ngan

Pablo//1 min

We spent a good chunk of days on Ko Pha Ngan, a Thai island a few hours by boat from Ko Tao. In all that time we barely did a thing — just drifted between the beach and the market, eating chicken skewers, pad thais and sweets, drinking fresh juices and tropical fruit smoothies.

We enjoyed much of the sun and sea on some beaches on the western side of the main port — a genuinely quiet, untouristy stretch where Ilze and I had the place pretty much to ourselves.

On top of playing in the sand and stuffing ourselves at the market stalls, we ventured into the island's interior in search of Ko Pha Ngan's elephants.

In that same area we stumbled across a small nature park made up of several waterfalls and a hilltop with views over the whole island.

And that's how we spent one of our last weeks in Thailand — and in Southeast Asia altogether. Eating, drinking, sunbathing, and swimming in the sea and the Ko Pha Ngan waterfalls.
