Jersey has the vehicle rule crystal clear and the tent rule unwritten. A visiting motorhome or caravan may be used as accommodation only at a designated, registered campsite, for no more than 31 days — and parking on private land with consent is expressly a different thing from overnighting there. On tents, the 2023 Order says nothing.

This is not legal advice: it's what the official sources say, checked by hand, plus what I lived myself. Verify before you bet the fine on it.

Jersey: 31 days and a registered campsite
The island's rule for anyone arriving with a vehicle: a visiting motorhome may be used as overnight accommodation only while stationed at a designated campsite registered under the Tourism Law, and the visiting-caravan route runs for no more than 31 days.
- Parking on private land with consent and overnighting on private land are expressly different things: the latter stays restricted to a designated campsite.

Visiting touring caravan — Jersey
Same rule for a caravan used as accommodation: a designated campsite, and brought into the island for no more than 31 days.

Forest and ordinary ground
The tent, unanswered — Jersey
A gap we declare as one: the 2023 Order is limited to caravans and doesn't classify tent camping, and the public-parks regulations we opened supply no island-wide rule either. A positive registered-campsite framework and a caravan restriction don't establish what happens with a tent.
