It's been a couple of months since I last published anything, but I'm still alive. No one kidnapped me or tossed me in a ditch while hitchhiking — I did that to myself by letting routine take over and letting you all down. Over the coming days I'll be trying to get back into the good habit of sharing my life, stories and adventures with you, as well as answering a few interviews I've had sitting in my inbox.
Since my post about hitchhiking in Latvia we spent some time in that country and in neighbouring Estonia. After that we flew to England with little more than the clothes on our backs and settled in Manchester for a spell. We're working and saving up for our cycling trip!
I plan to get you up to speed — I'll tell you about our last two months in Thailand, about coming back to Europe, and about how things are going here in England.
I'll also try to dig back into the past and dust off a few stories: the day I started hitchhiking and ended up driving a sports car, the night we hitchhiked in the dark in the middle of a village just to cover 500 metres, the day we headed to an island because a local told us there was a paradise white-sand beach there — and the day that hitchhiking led us to spending the night on a king-size mattress inside a tent in a Croatian garden, with dinner, drinks and a home-cooked breakfast thrown in for good measure!
