Thinking about Asia from the Pyrenees

A few weeks ago I bought two one-way tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I did zero research beforehand. The general idea is to go and see what comes up.
In terms of preparation, the only thing we've done is get all our vaccine doses sorted, taking advantage of the fact that we were passing through Spain — international vaccination centres are free here.
The flight to Malaysia is on the 25th of November, so with all that time to spare we took a trip to the Aragonese Pyrenees.
We spent five days wandering through various stunning spots. Ordesa National Park and the Lacuniacha wildlife reserve were the real highlights. Latvia is very flat, so Ilze absolutely loved these mountainous landscapes, with their forests and wildlife.
On the way back I started letting my mind wander — what to do in Asia, how to earn some money once I'm there to keep moving, where to head after we're done with that part of the world.
Canada sounds appealing, especially in summer for fruit picking. Then again, maybe we won't go quite that far and will head to Oceania with the same idea in mind.
Either way, first things first — enjoy Malaysia and wherever else we end up in Southeast Asia. I have no idea yet which countries we'll hit. Though Thailand, Vietnam, and Laos are on every shortlist.
